Aged Care Support Worker – Community Services | Melbourne VIC

Feros Care is seeking compassionate and reliable Aged Care Support Workers to join their Community Services team in Melbourne’s North Metro region. This is a permanent part-time opportunity ideal for candidates who enjoy travelling, working independently, and making a meaningful difference in their local community.

Preferred base suburbs include Essendon, Coburg, Glenroy, Keilor East and Avondale Heights, with services delivered across surrounding areas.

Job Overview

  • Additional Pay: 12% Superannuation + Salary Packaging
  • Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 20 hours per fortnight

You will travel across Melbourne’s North and West, supporting clients in areas such as:

  • Essendon
  • Coburg
  • Glenroy
  • Fawkner
  • Tullamarine
  • Keilor
  • Sunshine
  • St Albans
  • Surrounding suburbs

(Travel up to 45–60 minutes may be required)

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As an Aged Care Support Worker in Melbourne, you will:

  • Provide person-centred personal care and mobility assistance
  • Support daily living tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning and laundry
  • Offer companionship and meaningful social interaction
  • Assist clients with shopping, appointments and community outings
  • Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing in the home

About You

You are caring, dependable, and motivated to support older people to live independently in their own homes. You enjoy travelling between clients and building long-term relationships within the community.


Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support / Aged Care (with transcripts)
  • Experience supporting aged care clients in the community or home care
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid Australian driver’s licence
  • Reliable, insured vehicle
  • Comfortable travelling up to 45–60 minutes
  • Australian working rights
  • Ability to complete a National Police Check

Desirable

  • COVID-19 vaccination (highly desirable)
  • Strong understanding of person-centred care

Work Hours & Availability

  • Services delivered between 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Flexible weekday availability preferred
  • Opportunity to increase hours after probation
