HammondCare is seeking experienced and compassionate Assistants in Nursing in Greenwich NSW to join our Older Persons Mental Health (OPMH) team on a casual basis. About the Role – Assistant in Nursing Greenwich NSW

As an Assistant in Nursing, you will play a vital role within the Older Persons Mental Health ward, supporting patients under the supervision of registered clinicians.

📍 Location:

• Greenwich Hospital (transitioning to Macquarie Hospital, North Ryde in March/April)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centred mental health and aged care support
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Assist with daily care activities and patient monitoring
• Accurately document care using electronic patient record systems
• Support a safe, respectful and therapeutic environment

About You

To be successful as an Assistant in Nursing, you will have:

• Second-year Bachelor of Nursing (with at least one clinical placement), or
• Certificate III in Aged Care with a minimum of 1 year relevant experience
• Interest in working within a mental health ward
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Good computer literacy and time management skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
