🌟 Assistant Care Team Leader – ACC New Starter Mentoring Programme: Join Our Dynamic Team!
Silverchain is seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Care Team Leader to join its ACC New Starter Mentoring Programme in Maddington, WA. This position is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to supporting others in a meaningful way.
This leadership-focused role supports newly hired Care Aides and Domestic Assistants during their first 90 days, helping them build confidence, capability, and deliver Best Care in the community.
The Assistant Care Team Leader plays a vital role in shaping the future of community care by fostering new talent and building a cohesive team environment. As part of the mentoring program, you will engage in various activities, including training sessions and feedback discussions, to ensure that new hires feel welcomed and equipped to excel in their roles.
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday | 7:00am – 3:00pm
🧭 Key Responsibilities: Making a Difference in Community Care
- Mentor and coach new community care workers during onboarding
- Support capability development through hands-on guidance and role modelling
- Work collaboratively with Care Team Leaders to support staff growth
- Interpret and explain Silverchain policies, procedures, and care standards
- Demonstrate best practice community-based care to clients
- Provide practical advice, feedback, and encouragement to new starters
- Support internal stakeholders as required
🎓 About You (Essential Criteria): The Ideal Candidate
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or working towards)
- Previous experience working in community aged care
- Full Australian Driver’s Licence
- Own reliable vehicle for work purposes
- Strong interpersonal, mentoring, and communication skills
- Flexible, supportive, and solutions-focused approach
- Passion for coaching others and leading by example
