Bolton Clarke is currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Worker to join its Home and Community Support Services team in Bundoora, Melbourne VIC. This permanent part-time role involves providing in-home personal care and practical support to clients across Melbourne’s inner-northern suburbs, including Fitzroy, Collingwood, East Melbourne, Abbotsford, Carlton North, Brunswick, and surrounding areas.

About the Personal Care Worker Role

As a Personal Care Worker – Home & Community, you will deliver personalised, client-centred care directly in clients’ homes. Your work will be focused on supporting health, independence, and quality of life while respecting each client’s individual needs, preferences, and routines.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing personal care including hygiene, grooming, and showering
• Assisting clients to live well and independently at home
• Supporting transport to appointments and community activities
• Encouraging social engagement and companionship
• Providing domestic assistance and light housework
• Building positive, respectful relationships with clients
• Supporting clients’ choices, interests, and independence

This role is four days per week (Monday to Friday), with shifts scheduled between 8:30am and 4:00pm, offering an excellent work-life balance.

Skills and Qualifications Required

To be successful as a Personal Care Worker, you will need:

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
• Own reliable vehicle
• Current Australian driver’s licence
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Valid working rights in Australia
• National Police Check (issued within the last 3 years)
• Up-to-date flu vaccination or willingness to obtain
• Evidence of COVID-19 vaccinations
• Previous experience in a care role (highly regarded)
