About the Edgecliff Facility
St Vincent’s Care Services Edgecliff is a small, welcoming 39-bed residential aged care facility, located just 4km east of Sydney’s CBD. Set in a tranquil, leafy suburb and within walking distance to public transport, the home offers a warm, community-focused environment for both residents and staff.
About the Care Services Employee Role
As a Care Services Employee, you will work closely with residents to support their daily routines, personal care needs, lifestyle choices, and overall wellbeing. You will play a vital role in ensuring residents feel safe, respected, valued, and connected.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care including hygiene, grooming, and daily living support
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Supporting the daily running of the household
- Building strong, meaningful relationships with residents
- Delivering care in line with individualised care plans
- Maintaining accurate documentation and records
- Assisting in the kitchen when required (desirable)
This role focuses on relationships over routines, ensuring residents experience genuine connection and quality of life.

Essential Requirements
To succeed as a Care Services Employee, you will need:
- Certificate III in Individual Support / Aged Care (or similar) – essential
- Minimum 6 months experience in residential aged care
- Availability to work multiple shifts
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Understanding of aged care standards, resident rights, and care plans
- Experience with AutumnCare or similar aged care software
- National Criminal History Check (valid within 6 months)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (may be required)
- Interest or experience working in a kitchen environment (highly desirable)
