About the Role:
- Position: Support Worker – Catering / Food Services Assistant
- Location: Torquay, South West Coast VIC
- Schedule: Permanent Part-Time (Mondays or Wednesdays)
- Shift Time: 3:30 PM – 7:45 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef/Cook in preparing and serving nutritious meals that meet residents’ dietary needs, preferences, and cultural requirements.
- Maintain food safety standards, complete records, and prevent cross-contamination in line with the National Food Safety Program.
- Ensure high cleanliness standards in the kitchen and residents’ dining environment.
- Prepare trays and trolleys following the Calvary National Dining and Nutrition Guide.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting the wellbeing of residents.
What You Bring:
- Current Food Handlers Certificate (mandatory)
- NDIS Clearance Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (WOM) Completion
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High standards in food preparation and safety
- COVID-19 vaccinations (including booster) required unless exempt
- Passion for working in aged care and healthcare services
