About the Role – Food Services Assistant
We’re seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Food Services Assistants to support our Preston aged care facility. You will contribute to delivering nutritious meals and high-quality hospitality services that enhance our residents’ wellbeing and daily experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve meals according to the planned menu and Food Safety Program
- Support a clean and hygienic kitchen environment following daily/periodic schedules
- Assist with meal trolley service, tea/coffee rounds, and basic food preparation (e.g., sandwich making)
- Engage with residents and their visitors with kindness and professionalism
- Provide input on residents’ meal preferences and escalate concerns when necessary
- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and share knowledge with peers
Available Shifts:
Option 1 – Fortnightly Rotating Roster:
- Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday – 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Week 2: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday – 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Option 2 – Consistent Schedule:
- Week 1 & 2: Monday, Tuesday, Sunday – 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM
About You:

Essential Requirements:
- Valid Working With Children Check
- Proof of current flu vaccination
- Legal right to work in Australia
