Care Worker – Casual

Uniting NSW & ACT is seeking compassionate and reliable Care Workers in Peakhurst NSW to join our aged care team on a casual basis. This role offers competitive hourly rates with casual loading and the opportunity to work across all shifts.

About the Role – Care Worker Peakhurst

As a Care Worker, you will provide care, companionship, and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home. Your work will help maintain residents’ independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
• Supporting residents at mealtimes
• Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings
• Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities
• Delivering compassionate, person-centred aged care

Who We’re Looking For

To succeed as a Care Worker in Peakhurst, you will ideally have:

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Individual Support (or equivalent)
• Previous experience in aged care or community care, or
• A strong desire to begin a career in aged care if newly qualified or studying
• A caring, empathetic, and adaptable approach
• Ability to live Uniting’s values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness
